Voluntary Disclosure Procedure: How to Avoid Criminal Exposure

Similar to previous years, the Voluntary Disclosure Procedure is designed to encourage taxpayers to correct their tax reports. The procedure applies to violations under the Income Tax Ordinance, the Real Estate Taxation Law, and the VAT Law, allowing truthful reporting without fear of criminal proceedings. The Israel Tax Authority, in coordination with the State Attorney’s Office, commits not to initiate proceedings against those who enter the procedure, calculate their taxes, and pay their liabilities.

This process can be undertaken independently or with the assistance of a tax attorney. Want to understand how it works? The Tax Department of Amit, Pollak, Matalon & Co. has prepared a detailed guide (Hebrew) to help you navigate the process correctly.
